نُهى عابد الثبيتي باحثة تصميم ومصممة داخلية أعمل عند تقاطع الحرفة التقليدية، الثقافة المادية، والتقنيات الرقمية. يُركّز عملي على استكشاف كيف يمكن للذكاء الاصطناعي أن يتفاعل مع المعرفة الحرفية المتجسدة في اليد، والذاكرة الثقافية، والهوية المادية

 تنطلق ممارستي البحثية من منهجيات التصميم التأملي والبحث من خلال الممارسة، حيث أطوّر تجارب بصرية ومادية تستحضر العلاقة بين الإنسان والأداة، وبين الصناعة اليدوية والأنظمة الذكية المعاصرة. أهتم بإعادة تخيل مستقبل الحرفة بعيدًا عن الاستبدال، باتجاه الشراكة والتجاور بين المهارة البشرية والآلة

مشاريعي تتنقل بين الصور التوليدية، النمذجة البارامترية، التركيبات التفاعلية، والأرشفة البصرية، ساعية إلى بناء لغة تصميمية تحترم التراث وتفتح فضاءات تخيّلية لممارسات حرفية مستقبلية متجذّرة ثقافيًا


Noha Abed Althubaiti is a design researcher and interior designer working at the intersection of traditional craft, material culture, and emerging digital technologies. My practice explores how artificial intelligence can engage with embodied craft knowledge, cultural memory, and material identity.

My work is grounded in speculative design and research-through-practice methodologies, where I develop visual and material experiments that examine the relationship between hand and tool, maker and machine, and heritage and intelligent systems. Rather than positioning AI as a replacement for human skill, I investigate it as a collaborative material and conceptual partner.

My projects span generative imagery, parametric modelling, interactive installations, and visual archiving. Through this work, I build a design language that honours cultural heritage while opening imaginative pathways for future craft practices.

Parametric Heritage Pavilion

This pavilion began as a 2023 computational experiment, designed through Grasshopper to explore how traditional Arabian geometries could become spatial structures.

In late 2024, I returned to the same model, but this time, I invited AI to imagine it with me.
The result is not a replacement, but a comparison:
Where my original form followed parameters and control,
The AI version drifts, exaggerates, speculates, and dreams.

This project examines how cultural pattern behaves when shifted from craft logic to machine imagination, questioning authorship, authenticity, and the future of heritage-driven design.

بدأ هذا الجناح كتجربة حسابية عام 2023 باستخدام Grasshopper، لاستكشاف كيف يمكن للهندسة العربية التقليدية أن تتحوّل إلى بنية معمارية
وفي نهاية 2024 عدتُ لنفس النموذج لكن هذه المرة تركتُ للذكاء الاصطناعي مساحة ليتخيّل معي.
لم يكن الهدف الاستبدال، بل المقارنة:
فبينما اعتمد الشكل الأول على قواعد ومعايير واضحة
اندفع الشكل الجديد نحو المبالغة والتخيّل والتوسّع
هذا العمل يفحص كيف يتغيّر النمط الثقافي عندما ينتقل من منطق الحرفة إلى خيال الآلة ويسأل: من يملك الحرفة؟ ومن يصنع المستقبل الثقافي؟
